“Bilva”- Damaru Anniversary Celebration Workshop 1: Comprehend the Impact of Vedic Chants with KYM senior faculty- Ms. Nithya Jagannathan
If there is one name that can be considered pretty much synonymous with contemporary yoga, it is T Krishnamacharya who is well known the world over as the yoga guru of legendary masters such as Indra Devi, BKS Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois and TKV Desikachar. Among most contemporary styles of yoga, several trace their roots back to this legend, whose teachings remain the inspiration for thousands of yoga practitioners all over the world. Be it fitness, healing or a spiritual quest, T Krishnamacharya is among the few legendary yoga gurus who managed to give every seeker of yoga and yoga therapy exactly what they sought.
The Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) was established in 1976, by T Krishnamacharya’s son and long-time student TKV Desikachar to carry forth the invaluable teachings of T Krishnamacharya.
In this fast-paced lifestyle, we are constantly running to achieve materialistic pleasures while keeping the self-healing and self-care at bay. Take a break to explore the power of Vedic Chants and the power of meditative practices in our weekend workshop at Damaru. Join our celebration to know how Vedic Chants can bring you peace and health benefits like improving vitality, immunity, and inner strength. Also, explore the metaphoric symbolism of Goddess Lakshmi and her presence in our lives – its meanings and interpretations, through an integrated asana-pranayama-meditative practice.
